Tommy has worked for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for over 14 years and is the director of the Dangerous Drug Task Force. Prior to joining TBI, he was a detective and lieutenant for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Angela has been the Director of Operations, Addiction Science Center, College of Public Health, East Tennessee State University since 2013.  She is the program manager or program director for several HRSA, NIDA, and SAMHSA/TDMHSAS grants.

Amy Koslick

State Director of Investigations at Tennessee Department of Children's Services

Amy has been with the Department of Children's Services for more than 26 years and has served as the state director of investigations since 2015.

She holds a master's degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration from Tennessee State University and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

Mary Linden Salter

Mary Linden Salter is the Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Alcohol, Drug and other Addiction Services, an association of addiction and recovery support providers.  Mary Linden is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in Tennessee since 1996. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University.  Prior to taking this position, she was the Director of Network Services for Behavioral Health for United Healthcare (UHC), and also was the Manager of a utilization review team for Magellan Behavioral Heath, both TennCare MCOs. She has also worked in several clinical programs in Tennessee including the Center of Excellence for Children in State Custody at Vanderbilt and as the IOP Program Director for Centerstone. Amy M. Murawski

Director, Opioid Response Coordination

Amy M. Murawski is the Director of Opioid Response Coordination for the State of Tennessee Health Department.  Ms. Murawski responsibility is to address how healthcare can more effectively and proactively respond to the ongoing epidemic of opioid misuse, abuse and overdose deaths in the State of Tennessee. The Department currently is the recipient of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Overdose Data to Action Grant.

Her past experience included the Director of the State of Michigan Regional Coordinating Agency System.   Her responsibility included the delivery of substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery services.  She oversaw the monitoring of provider’s performance against contractual obligation. Developed, disseminate and implement substance use disorder policies and procedures.

She was the principles lead in the National Behavioral Health Network for Tobacco and Cancer Control, Community of Practice Grant. And the principles lead for the Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Project ...

Judge Duane Slone

Judge, Chair of SMART Justice Network

Judge O. Duane Slone is a circuit court judge in Tennessee's Fourth Judicial District in East Tennessee. He is the co-chair of the Tennessee SMART Justice Network. He also serves as chair of the Appalachian-Midwest Regional Judicial Opioid Initiative, SAMHSA Advisory Committee for Womens Services member, NIDA JCOIN Practitioner Advisory board member, National Rural Justice Collaboration steering committee member, SMART Policy Network steering committee member, board member of the Tennessee Association of Recovery Court Professionals, and chair of the Tennessee Judicial Conference Problem-Solving Committee. He is a drug recovery court judge as well.

Judge Slone created and developed the Tennessee Recovery Oriented Compliance Strategy (TN ROCS).

He was awarded the National Center for State Courts William Rehnquist Award, the organizations highest honor, in 2019, and the organization's Distinguished Service Award in 2018, both for his work in responding to the opioid crisis.
